So… years ago, someone told me something about someone else that just stuck with me. My friend told me that this guy liked to hang his toilet paper a certain way on the spool… but she never actually told me which way he preferred, the end hanging over or underneath. Before this revelation, it never occurred to me that toilet paper should or shouldn’t be hung on the spool a certain way. So, sadly now this little piece of information has stuck in my brain and every time I reach for that toilet paper, I think of what she said. Irritating to say the least.
I have no preference, when I hang my toilet paper, whichever way I am holding the roll is the way it gets put on the spool. So, I am curious now… is there anyone out there that does prefer to hang their toilet paper one way over the other?
Why am I telling you this… same reason you’re reading this… something to do.

For me the only right way is with the paper hanging over.
It is so much easier to get a hold on the paper.
When my daughter ( 20 y )change the toilet paper she puts it any wich way and when it's the wrong way ( in my opinion ) it annoys me.
i put it on a tablet near the sit: no hole to make in wall, no mechanism to dismount and remount to change the empty roll...
and i do not care if the free end of paper is on the left or right...

I know you posted this a while ago but it is hilarious to see a post about how a tissue is positioned on the spool. This was a long time ago but it stuck with me to this day. I was sitting on the toilet right...and she came by and asked me which way I had put the toilet tissue on the spool. I told her and she was like...awww so thats the way huh.....
I never questioned her on that because what did it really matter. I put the tissue in whichever way I grab it. Though I really don't have a preference whether it is on a spool or just sitting on the counter either way is fine with me just as long as there is tissue there so I have something to wipe my 
with lol.
When I moved into my own apartment and lived by myself I always did under. Then I ended up getting married and the toilet paper roll would be under if I did it and over if my wife did it. And several years later, now in my early 30's I think I have been trained by my wife because I only do over. In fact, this very morning I replaced the roll under (because I wasn't really paying attention) and it looked wrong but it took me a minute to realize that it was because it wasn't over the roll.
