Embed Flash

I just started using 2bevo… and immediately I saw a need for this since I enjoy posting flash files.

This is my first plugin… although it’s a modified Video Plugin, so I can’t really take fulll credit.

Name: BAE Embed SWF 1.0 works with b2evolution 2.x

Description: You can now easily embed swf files off your server and have them play within your post.

Installation: Unzip or Urar BAE-EmbedSWF.zip. Upload to your plugins folder. In your backoffice, activate the plugin Embed SWF.

How it works: When you create a new post, in expert mode, you’ll see a new button called “SWF". Click it to enter the full url to your flash file. When you publish your post, it will play the flash file.

Download Link This version has been replaced by version 2. Click here to go download it.

To upload .swf files via your file manager, you need to add a new file type:
Extension: swf
File type name: flash video file
Mime type: application/x-shockwave-flash swf

Hi, while this works, it does have a major drawback.
It really does need prompts for height and width on a per post/embed basis.
Cheers

... you can go into the plugin file and specify the width and height, but as of now, the plugin doesn't allow you to customize it on a per post basis. maybe version 2

I've added a Flash button to the video_plugin It does allow for height and width inputs for your swf.
This is discussed here...
